Don’t worry about being the best writer; just be concerned with getting started.  You can learn the rest as you go.  No book was ever completed by anyone who did not overcome this first most daunting task of starting to write.

You have to allot a certain amount of time each day for your writing.  Some people suggest making that the very same time each day so that your body and mind get in the habit of what is writing time.  This has worked for some.  If you cannot seem to get your schedule to allow you to use the precise time each day, don’t worry about it.  Just write.

Write in the morning, afternoon or evening.  Write in the bathtub.  Write at a park. Write at a coffee shop.  Just write, write and write more.  With each little piece that you write, you will find your work accumulating and you will enjoy a sense of pride in continuing what you started.  When you finish a writing piece, oh what a thrill.

But don’t feel bad if you need to do a rewrite.  Rewriting is a part of the writing process.  The majority of all writers out there have to spend a great deal of time on the rewrite.
